1.4 These Terms operate in addition to, and do not limit, any rights or obligations under applicable Australian laws and regulations, including those relating to liquor licensing, privacy, and responsible conduct of entertainment.
2. Venue Policies
2.1 Blindsand Brasserie is a premium restaurant, cocktail lounge and private hospitality venue. All guests are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow guests, staff and property at all times.
2.2 We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the venue, any person whose behaviour is considered unsafe, disruptive, offensive, intoxicated, or otherwise inconsistent with our service standards or legal obligations. This may occur without refund or compensation.
2.3 Guests must follow all reasonable instructions provided by our team, including directions relating to safety, seating, photography, mobility access, and the use of personal devices so as not to disturb other guests.
2.4 Access to the private lounge and offline poker nights is strictly limited to adults aged 18 years and over. Valid proof of age may be requested at any time. Minors are not permitted in poker night areas and must comply with the venue's child and minor policies in all other spaces.
2.5 Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated outdoor areas, subject to local regulations. Illegal substances, weapons and any behaviour contrary to Australian law are strictly prohibited.
2.6 Guests must comply with all applicable Australian and Victorian laws, including responsible service of alcohol legislation and any local health orders in force at the time of their visit.
3. Reservations & Cancellations
3.1 Reservations for dining, private events and offline poker nights may be requested via our website, by email or by phone. All reservations are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive written or electronic confirmation from us.
3.2 We may request a credit card guarantee or deposit for certain reservations, including larger group bookings, high-demand sittings, special events or private lounge hire. Any such requirement will be communicated prior to confirmation.
3.3 If you need to modify or cancel a reservation, you must contact us as soon as possible using the details on our Reservations & Contact page. Changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
3.4 Unless otherwise specified in your confirmation, cancellations or substantial reductions in guest numbers made less than 24 hours before your booking time may incur a cancellation fee or forfeiture of any deposit, reflecting the costs of staffing, preparation and the potential loss of other bookings.
3.5 For special events, set menu experiences, private events and offline poker evenings, longer notice periods and higher cancellation charges may apply. These will be outlined in your event or booking correspondence.
3.6 If you or your group arrive more than 20 minutes after your reserved time without prior notice, we may release the table or adjust the duration of your seating, and cancellation terms may apply.
3.7 We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, including safety concerns, government directives, or operational impacts. In such cases, we will endeavour to reschedule or provide an appropriate alternative where possible.
4. Dining Experience
4.1 Blindsand Brasserie offers a contemporary Australian dining experience with seasonal menus, curated wines and crafted cocktails. Menu items and pricing are subject to change without prior notice.
4.2 For group bookings and chef-led tastings, a set menu or minimum spend may apply. These details will be confirmed at the time of booking and form part of your agreement with us.
4.3 We encourage guests to dress with a sense of occasion befitting a refined restaurant and lounge environment. Smart casual or above is requested; activewear, beachwear and excessively casual attire may not be appropriate. Entry remains at the discretion of management.
4.4 Guests are responsible for settling the full account for food, beverages and any additional services received during their visit. We accept a range of payment methods; however, we are not obliged to accept large denomination notes or split bills beyond what is reasonably manageable during service.
4.5 No food or beverages may be brought into the venue for consumption, unless specifically agreed in advance (for example, special-occasion cakes or particular dietary needs). Corkage and cakeage fees may apply and will be communicated in advance where relevant.
4.6 We reserve the right to limit alcohol service in line with responsible service obligations. Service may be refused or slowed at any time if a guest appears intoxicated, disruptive or unsafe, without obligation for refund or compensation.
4.7 Guests must treat all staff and other guests with courtesy and respect. Aggressive, discriminatory, harassing or unsafe conduct will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the venue.
5. Private Events Terms
5.1 Private hire of dining areas, the lounge or other spaces at Blindsand Brasserie is subject to a separate event proposal or agreement, which will outline specific inclusions, minimum spends, menu structures, beverage arrangements, time allocations and event-specific policies.
5.2 Event proposals or confirmations may include requirements for deposits, staged payments and final balance settlements by specified dates. Failure to make payments by the due dates may result in cancellation or modification of your event, and cancellation terms may apply.
5.3 Minimum spends relate to the combined value of food and beverage consumed during the agreed event window. If the minimum spend is not reached, the difference may be charged as a venue fee or additional event charge.
5.4 Time allocations for events, including set-up and pack-down, will be agreed in advance. Extensions are subject to availability, may incur additional fees, and are at the sole discretion of management.
5.5 Any external suppliers or entertainment (such as musicians, stylists, photographers or decorators) must be approved by us in advance and must comply with our safety, access and noise policies.
5.6 The client is responsible for any damage caused to the venue, fittings, equipment or property by themselves, their guests or external suppliers. Repair or replacement costs may be added to the final invoice.
5.7 For private events incorporating offline poker nights or other adult-focused experiences, the age restrictions and responsible entertainment obligations in these Terms apply to all attendees without exception.
6. Offline Poker Nights Terms
6.1 Blindsand Brasserie hosts professionally managed, in-person poker evenings in the private lounge as a social extension of the dining experience. These are strictly offline, venue-based events only.
6.2 There is no online poker, remote participation, digital betting interface, player accounts, deposits, withdrawals, jackpots or casino-style gaming associated with these events. Participation is limited to those physically present in the lounge during the scheduled session.
6.3 Poker nights are restricted to guests aged 18 years or older. Valid, government-issued photo identification may be required as a condition of entry. We may refuse entry if satisfactory ID is not produced.
6.4 Seating is strictly limited and may require advance reservation, pre-payment or bundled dining experiences. Times, formats and table allocations are subject to availability and may change without prior notice.
6.5 Poker evenings focus on conversation, hospitality and responsible social entertainment. Our team, including hosts and dealers, may adjust table activity, breaks and pacing at any time for safety, comfort and service reasons.
6.6 Guests must follow all table rules, house guidelines and instructions from our hosts or dealers, including maximum occupancy, etiquette standards and any restrictions related to photography or recording in the lounge.
6.7 We do not make any promises or representations regarding winnings, outcomes or financial benefit from participation in poker nights. Guests are solely responsible for their own decisions and conduct while participating.
6.8 We reserve the right to decline participation or remove any guest from a poker evening if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, intoxicated or inconsistent with responsible entertainment principles, without refund or compensation.
7. Age Restrictions & Responsible Service
7.1 Blindsand Brasserie operates in accordance with Victorian and Australian liquor and responsible service laws. Alcohol may only be supplied and consumed by guests aged 18 years and over.
7.2 Guests attending events involving alcohol or offline poker nights must be at least 18 years old. We may request valid photo ID at the door, at the bar, at the poker lounge or at any time during service.
7.3 Acceptable forms of identification may include current Australian driver licences, government-issued proof-of-age cards, valid passports, or other forms recognised under Victorian law. Photocopies or digital images may not be accepted.
7.4 Our team is trained in responsible service of alcohol. We may refuse to serve, slow service to, or ask to leave any guest who appears intoxicated, underage or is otherwise in breach of licensing laws. These decisions are final and may be made without refund or compensation.

8. Allergies, Dietary Needs & Special Requests
8.1 Blindsand Brasserie takes reasonable care to accommodate dietary preferences, allergies and intolerances where possible. However, our kitchen and bar handle common allergens and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
8.2 It is the guest's responsibility to clearly inform us of any allergies, dietary requirements or intolerances when making a reservation, finalising an event, and again when ordering at the table. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, shellfish, dairy, gluten, eggs and soy.
8.3 While we use best-practice handling procedures, cross-contact of allergens may occur in a commercial kitchen. Guests with severe or life-threatening allergies should consider this risk carefully before dining with us.
8.4 We may, at our discretion, decline to prepare or serve certain dishes if we believe we cannot safely accommodate a particular allergy or request.

9. Liability & Guest Responsibility
9.1 Guests enter and use the venue, and participate in dining, private events and offline poker nights, at their own risk, subject to any rights they may have under Australian consumer law that cannot be excluded.
9.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blindsand Brasserie and its owners, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense suffered by a guest or third party arising from attendance at the venue or use of our services, except where caused by our proven negligence or wilful misconduct.
9.3 Guests are responsible for any damage they cause to the venue, furnishings, fixtures, equipment or other property, whether intentionally or through negligence. We may charge the reasonable costs of repair, replacement or professional cleaning to the guest or the organiser of the relevant booking.
9.4 Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings at all times. We do not accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged items, including in cloakroom or storage areas, except as required by law.
9.5 Participation in offline poker nights or other hosted entertainment is voluntary. Guests are responsible for their own decisions at the table and must ensure their involvement remains consistent with their personal circumstances and financial comfort.
9.6 Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any non-excludable statutory guarantees or rights available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
10. Intellectual Property & Content Use
10.1 All intellectual property rights in the Blindsand Brasserie brand, including our logo, wordmarks, trade dress, menu designs, layouts, typography, and the overall look and feel of the venue and website, are owned by or licensed to us.
10.2 The content on this website — including text, copywriting, menus, images, photographs, graphics and other materials — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
10.3 You may view this website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not copy, reproduce, adapt, translate, publish, distribute, transmit, exploit or create derivative works from any part of this website or our physical menu designs without our express prior written consent.
